I'm Back!

Ok, I am back to blogging again. Every time I got on to post the internet wasn't working. I usually have some time at night when I'm in my room to work on personal things and keep you updated, but for the past week and a half the internet has been down in the dorms every night. It has been a little frustrating, but God is working on character development in the area of patience and understanding.

Alright on to updates, I did not get a part in either of the plays, but I have decided that God really had His hand in the situation. I have been busy enough with classes, getting involved in campus leadership and spending time with friends that I don't think I would have had time for rehearsals. I am taking 18 credit hours this semester and it is keeping me on my toes. I love all my classes and have been blessed with amazing professors. My favorite class right now is the lecture period for my Charismatic Life class. Dr. Rutland, the schools president, gives the lectures and I have learned so much! He is a dynamic speaker and relates well to his audience.

I have applied to be an Assistant RA on my floor and have also taken on the position of Social Chair. My job is to keep the girls on my floor informed about special events and then to encourage them to be involved. I am looking forward to stretching myself by coming up with creative ways to keep the girls active in campus life.

I have found a church and already volunteered to work with the youth ministry. The group is called 24-7 and is a fun filled, God focused program. We meet every Wednesday for regular youth service and then on Sunday nights for a more in depth, small group Bible study. The thing that I love the most about the group is the students desire to see God move and to demonstrate there relationship with Christ through their daily lives. There are a few other ORU students who volunteer there as well so it makes it fun to have friends and familiar faces.

I have had the opportunity to continue meeting on fire for God students on campus and enjoy many, many friends. What is great is having people from each class that I can study with at night and bounce off ideas. I have the privilege of participating in an internship that will be traveling to Washington D.C. over fall break. I have never been to our nations capital and I am looking forward to touring the city and learning, hands on, about our government.

Well I believe that covers enough for one post. I should head to bed so that I can be fresh for classes in the morning. You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I love you very dearly! Blessings in Christ!

P.S. hopefully the internet will stay up and I can post more often :)
