Crazy Busy but Loving Every Minute!
Wow, the past couple of weeks have been super busy. School is really starting to pick up and I have had a couple of bigger assignments due already. Plus the past two weekends were spent with family, which was amazing. Spanish class continues to keep me busy and on my toes. For example we started a new chapter on Monday, learned over hundred new vocab words, and then had a quiz today over those words. I am starting to understand Spanish a little better now and that makes it fun. My other classes are going well and do not have as much daily homework. Two weekends ago I had the opportunity to go to Silver Dollar City with my family. It is an old frontier reenactment park where we used to go when I was little. There are rides, good food, and craftsmen of all types. Plus over the past two week I was able to see all my family on my dad's side! We went boating, rented jet skis, and played games. Living on campus is fun and I am getting more and more involved in leadership and social activities. I received the position as Assistant RA. It basically means that I help my RA with certain tasks and learn the program from watching her. It is also an opportunity to serve our amazing wing leaders. We are getting ready for our "Get Your Roommate a Date" event. Because I am social chair I am heading up most of the planning. It is exciting though because another girl on my floor is on the social team with me and it makes all the difference in the world to have help. I will post with more details as I discover them. You are all a blessing to me and you remain in my prayers always. Love ya!

Fun Filled Tuesday
I hope all of you are having a good week so far. Mine has been busy, but fun. Today I had a full day of classes (Tuesdays consist of four classes) but managed to squeeze in lunch with some friends. The cafeteria does stir fry Tuesdays and it is amazing. It is actually the only day that I eat lunch in SAGA, normally I grab a sandwich from the deli or get chick-fil-a. But stir fry it was and the friends were awesome! After classes I had the opportunity to go to a volleyball game at Victory Christian School. One of the girls I met at the youth group where I am volunteering is on the freshman high school team and she invited me to go. It was great to get out and support her and hopefully make a connection beyond just "hey what's up". Ironically ORU's girls volleyball had a game tonight as well. I went to work out with some friends and then ended up staying at the game. We lost, but it was fun to cheer on the team and support the Golden Eagles! Well I do believe I am off to bed now so that I can be rested up for another fun filled day tomorrow. I miss all of you and pray for you often. In Christ's love :)
I'm Back!
Ok, I am back to blogging again. Every time I got on to post the internet wasn't working. I usually have some time at night when I'm in my room to work on personal things and keep you updated, but for the past week and a half the internet has been down in the dorms every night. It has been a little frustrating, but God is working on character development in the area of patience and understanding.
Alright on to updates, I did not get a part in either of the plays, but I have decided that God really had His hand in the situation. I have been busy enough with classes, getting involved in campus leadership and spending time with friends that I don't think I would have had time for rehearsals. I am taking 18 credit hours this semester and it is keeping me on my toes. I love all my classes and have been blessed with amazing professors. My favorite class right now is the lecture period for my Charismatic Life class. Dr. Rutland, the schools president, gives the lectures and I have learned so much! He is a dynamic speaker and relates well to his audience.
I have applied to be an Assistant RA on my floor and have also taken on the position of Social Chair. My job is to keep the girls on my floor informed about special events and then to encourage them to be involved. I am looking forward to stretching myself by coming up with creative ways to keep the girls active in campus life.
I have found a church and already volunteered to work with the youth ministry. The group is called 24-7 and is a fun filled, God focused program. We meet every Wednesday for regular youth service and then on Sunday nights for a more in depth, small group Bible study. The thing that I love the most about the group is the students desire to see God move and to demonstrate there relationship with Christ through their daily lives. There are a few other ORU students who volunteer there as well so it makes it fun to have friends and familiar faces.
I have had the opportunity to continue meeting on fire for God students on campus and enjoy many, many friends. What is great is having people from each class that I can study with at night and bounce off ideas. I have the privilege of participating in an internship that will be traveling to Washington D.C. over fall break. I have never been to our nations capital and I am looking forward to touring the city and learning, hands on, about our government.
Well I believe that covers enough for one post. I should head to bed so that I can be fresh for classes in the morning. You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I love you very dearly! Blessings in Christ!
P.S. hopefully the internet will stay up and I can post more often :)

My Day
I will mention right now that the only reason I am posting in the same day is because it is Saturday! I did have a really fun day though. I was finally able to sleep in and it was super exciting (I woke up at 10:30) Then the day began! Grabbing some food with Balla and Corey, playing pool in the Fish Bowl (this is a centralized place between the guys and girls dorm buildings where many people congregate. It has ping pong, pool and tons of comfy couch/chair things) then Joe and I went to Mardels to get my school books. Then of course there was dinner in the SAGA (the school cafeteria) and homework. The homework consisted of a syllabus quiz and Spanish! Gotta love learning Spanish vowels and consonants! Later I got a smoothie with a friend and we walked around the campus. It is so beautiful at night and fun to be outside when it's not quite as hot! Well it is getting late and I must wake up for church in the morning. Stay strong and rock on!!!

My First Week
Well here it goes! Many of you have asked me to give updates on how life is going at Oral Roberts University and I decided that a blog would be the easiest way to keep everyone in the loop. For those of you who do not know, I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma last Wednesday to attend school at ORU. This was a huge leap of faith for me, but God has been faithful and blessed me abundantly above and beyond what I could have imagined. I transferred in as a Junior and thankfully it stayed that way. I am majoring in Youth Ministry with a minor in drama. I just found out yesterday that auditions for the school play are on Monday! I would appreciate your prayers as I will need to find and memorize a monologue over the weekend. Already I have met many people and have a great circle of friends developing. Classes have started so therefore homework has started which means I should probably go work on assignments instead of writing more on my blog. I will try to keep all of you updated as often as I can with stories and any exciting news! Thank you for all of the prayer and support!
P.S. My new address is:

Mail is always appreciated, but never expected :)
